2010 is off to an AWESOME START!!!
Our re-model of the children's church room is mostly completed! We spent the 2nd and 3rd week of January painting, and then added to the project by building a TIKI hut around the sound table. As you can see below, we went with a pier/boardwalk theme. I built a false wall about seven foot from the back wall of the room with a door in the center, a rear screen window on the stage right (looks like a window at a touristy pier shop), and made puppet windows on the stage left with some large crates and portholes. Look below for pics.

Now all I want is the pelican, the dolphin, and the seal puppets from Steve Axtell Puppets. DREAM BIG!!!

Following are pictures from my last church, Garywood Assembly of God. I hope it give you a feel for what I think Children's Church should be like.
After six months at Garywood, we held our first Books of the Bible Contest, and I lost- One of our girls said all 66 books in 17.73 seconds!!! Here was my reward for not being faster than her!
